I can't believe it's December already!

Happy Holidays!  I created Christmas in the Woods after being inspired by the wonderful owl fabric from Robert Kaufman Fabrics.  This quilt is done using very easy paper piecing.  I had a great time choosing the fabrics.  The pattern also includes instructions for placemats.

Refreshing an old pattern

Garden Fantasy
When I saw this Alexander Henry print all I could think about was my oldie but goodie pattern Midnight Garden.  So with new fabrics in hand I set out to create a new version and called it Garden Fantasy.  The quilt is currently hanging at Make it Sew in Chanhassen, MN.  The pattern and kit will soon be available at www.makeitsewmn.com.

I love using Electric Quilt 7 for working with images.  There are so many interesting options.

"Fun in Tahoe"

I had a blast making this wallhanging.  I used a template called the Flip Flop block by Kathie Alyce.  I usually have a difficult time piecing curves, but not this time, it was easy and fun.  I used EQ Printables inkjet fabric sheets to print the pictures.  My son, Mike and his girlfriend, Liz spent the winter in Lake Tahoe and this will be a great way for them to remember that time.

New Table Runner

I have been having so much fun working at the new fabric store, Make It Sew, http://www.makeitsewmn.com/  that I haven't had very much time to create.  This is one thing I have designed using some of the fabulous fabric at the store.  There is no curved piecing, just a little applique, hand or machine.  I am also designing some placemats to go along with the table runner.  A friend gave me the idea for the curved triangles so thus the name - Claudia's Table.  I did get the patterns written for my last two quilts. (you can see them on my website http://www.marydeeneydesigns.com/ or earlier blog posts)  They are doing well at Make It Sew.
